This Privacy Policy describes how Project Tower Offense ("we", "us", or "the Game") collects, uses, and protects technical and gameplay information when you install, access, or play our mobile game application.
Summary: We respect your privacy. Project Tower Offense does NOT collect personal identifying information (no names, emails, physical addresses, phone numbers, contacts, or photos). We collect a pseudonymous device/installation identifier to save your progress, in-game usage events to understand how the Game is played and to balance it, and diagnostic data to keep the Game stable.
1. Information We Collect
We strictly limit our data collection to technical and gameplay information necessary for the operation, synchronization, and troubleshooting of the Game:
| Data Category | Examples / Details | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anonymous Device Identifier | Generated cryptographic device UUID / installation identifier (e.g. SystemInfo.deviceUniqueIdentifier or guest token). |
Guest authentication, multiplayer matchmaking, and persistent cloud save of in-game progress (cards, rating, level). |
| Crash & Diagnostic Telemetry | Application crash dumps, unhandled exception stack traces, error breadcrumbs (the last 20 in-game events), device model, OS version, GPU renderer name, frame rate metrics. | Bug tracking, identifying stability issues, memory leaks, and optimizing game performance on diverse hardware. |
| Gameplay Data | Automatically generated guest nickname, trophies, gold, gems, unlocked cards, match outcomes, arena level, per-match statistics (race, cards used, buildings built, match duration). | Core gameplay loop, progression, leaderboards, fair multiplayer matchmaking, and game balance tuning. |
| Product Analytics | In-game events (sessions, matches played, matchmaking, chest openings, in-game purchases, rewarded ad views), device model, OS version, RAM, system language, and the country derived from your IP address by our analytics provider. | Understanding how players use the Game, why they stop playing, and improving difficulty, onboarding and performance. |
| Advertising ID | Google Advertising ID, used by the analytics and advertising SDKs listed in section 4. You can reset it or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings (Settings → Google → Ads). | Delivering rewarded ads, limiting how often the same ad is shown, and measuring ad performance. |
2. Data We DO NOT Collect
Our application adheres to strict data minimization principles. We do NOT request access to or collect:
- Personal Identifiable Information (real name, age, gender, postal address).
- Contact lists, address book, SMS, or phone calls.
- Precise GPS location (only the country is derived from the IP address, see above).
- Camera, microphone, photos, media gallery, or device storage files.
- Payment card numbers, bank account credentials (all in-app billing is handled directly and securely by Google Play Billing).
3. Crash Reporting & Local Dumps
AppMetrica Crash Reports & Local Dumps: When an unexpected error or crash occurs, the Game records an emergency diagnostic dump in local storage (persistentDataPath/crash_reports/) and sends the stack trace, device specs and the last in-game events to the AppMetrica crash analytics service. These logs contain strictly code execution state and system specs; no personal files or credentials are ever accessed or included.
4. Third-Party Services
The Game may integrate vetted third-party services that process technical telemetry under their respective privacy policies:
- Google Play Services: Core Android platform integration and in-app billing. Google Privacy Policy.
- AppMetrica (Yandex): Product analytics and crash reporting. Yandex Privacy Policy.
- Yandex Mobile Ads: Rewarded video ads. Yandex Privacy Policy.
Rewarded ads are shown only when you voluntarily choose to watch one for an in-game bonus. Advertising partners may use the Advertising ID in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data
We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your data to data brokers or unrelated third parties. Data is used exclusively for internal game operations, multiplayer synchronization, and crash prevention.
6. Data Retention & Deletion Rights
Crash reports and telemetry are retained for a limited operational period (typically up to 90 days) and purged automatically. Per-match statistics are stored in pseudonymous form (linked to your game account, not to your identity) and are deleted together with your account on request. If you wish to delete your account, game progress, and associated Device ID from our servers, you may submit a request by contacting our support team at toweroffensesupport@gmail.com. Your records will be permanently expunged within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)
Project Tower Offense does not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under the age of 13 (or 16 where applicable under EU law). If we discover that personal information has been inadvertently collected from a child, we will promptly delete such data from our records.
8. Security Measures
We employ industry-standard security protocols, including HTTPS/TLS encryption for all network traffic between the Game and our backend servers, token-based authentication, and restricted access controls.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect game updates or legal requirements. Any modifications will be posted directly on this URL with an updated revision date.
